June 2016, 2 years after Maddie died, we decided to begin Maddie’s Li’l Angels to celebrate Maddie’s life and her giving spirit while bringing smiles to the faces of children who are less fortunate. Maddie’s biggest fear of dying was that she would be forgotten and therefore Maddie’s Li’l Angels was created so that people would continue to speak of her, ask questions and keep her spirit alive.

Maddie’s Li’l Angels brings smiles to children and parents, which Maddie always loved to do. Her motherly spirit and love for helping others guided us to the decision to collect new unwrapped toys and deliver them to local charities during the month of her birthday, June.

We realize that Lots of toys are collected and delivered around Christmas, but what about the rest of the year? Children love to receive gifts and toys for their birthday, end of school, other holidays or simply “just because”. For this reason, her birthday month of June, seemed like the perfect time to collect and deliver toys to children and families in need.

For the past three years, we have delivered toys to the Halton Women’s Place and Kerr Street Mission in Burlington and Oakville where the toys were graciously accepted and distributed to children and families.

Our goal is to continue to expand Maddie’s Li’l Angels while touching more children and expanding outside of the Halton region.

Donations of new unwrapped toys to Maddie’s Li’l Angels can be made at anytime throughout the year and we will deliver them to various charities during the month of June.

Any charitable suggestions are welcome and can be shared with us via email @ [email protected]
